The Oscilloscoparium

Sometimes I like to pick up things which are really useless to me,just to take them apart and see what's inside.Like this oscilloscope, and don't ask me what it does exactly because I don't know.Apparently it displays a graph of an electrical signal and according to one website:"Oscilloscopes are used by everyone from television repair technicians to physicists." I also saw the potential if it being easily converted into a snailtank, because of the rectangular shape and the way it was built.

Now I know the chance of you running into one are very slim so I won't give a detailed account of how I took it apart. But as with all electrical equipment you have to be cautious dismantling it.The oscilloscope contains a long CRT which you have to handle with care. Also there are capacitors inside which can discharge when handled incorrectly.
