Milax(Tandonia)sowerbyi(Férussac,1823) About 6-7.5 cm long,pale brownish grey with black dots,sole is whitish,mucus yellow and sticky. The shell is 5 x 2.5 mm. Eggs are about 4 x 3.5 mm,translucent,soft and amber colored.They hatch in about 4-5 weeks.Young slugs are 8-9 mm and have mantle speckled with black.The head and tentacles are dark,the sides of the body and sole pale grey. West-Europe and around the Mediterranean.

In forests,rocky hillsides,parks and gardens in Europe and South-Europe.

Boetgerilla pallens(Simroth,1912) About 3-4 cm,wormlike,grey or blue-ish grey,sole is pale yellow,mucus colorless. Central- and East-Europe.
